Hi, I have just had my first bad experience on wmiy's and both have occured at the same time. I swapped a gorgeous brand new jumper for a belt which has turned up fit for the bin, it is covered in what looks like coffee/tea stains. I have unforuntely sent the jumper to this person and they have recieved it and are happy so they said through messaging but they have not left a rating.
The other swap was a newbie, I agreed to swap a few things with them and have recieved items. The items are all very strong smelling of smoke, some are dirty and another is torn. Foruntely I have not sent my items yet due to the member being new and on the basis I would sent upon receipt. I will return them to member but dont wish to sent my items to them as some are new with tags or otherwise in great condition and also I am going to be out of pocket when I sent back the items.
I am very worried about my wmiy's rating once I have sent these items back, I feel it would be unfair for me to be left neutrals/negetives and for my score to fall badly due to dishonest swappers.
If you could advise me with regards to rating and what I should do next as very unhappy.

i have completed a swap with flo_x last night, but for some reason i have not received an email to my gmail account with her address (not in junk either). what happened? can you please look into it so that i know where to send the item to?
the swap has been removed from my "available items list" and if i click on it in the "previous items list" it says that the swap has been completed, but there is no sign of the address of this user. i completed another swap last night and this swap worked ok and i got a confirmation email with the address of that user.

I have 2 vintage real fur coats... one is Musquash (1930's) and the other 'Beaver Lamb' (sheepskin treated to make it look like Beaver fur) 1940's. Is it OK to put these on your web site?? Hi i was just wondering if there a service available on the site, like an update sent by email if you request a search on items that you are looking for. I visit the site everyday and hunt through to look for some size 7 converse (preferably black), some size 7 white doc martens and some black medium heeled mary janes just so that i don't miss out. I was just widnering if there's anyway i could be informed when 'wish list' items are added so that i can take a peak and not miss out. Hiya Judy! I'm a bit confused about the swapping. Say that someone has something that will cost £6 to send to you, are you expected to pay the £6 via paypal? Or is that only the case if they're items £6 and yours costs £1 to send, you'd be expected to pay the £5 difference to them?

Hi Judy! Are users notified when you tag an item of theirs? I'd like to know if people are tagging anything of mine because that would give me a chance to go through their listings for a possible swap that I might otherwise have missed. I understand that sometimes you might just want to tag something for future reference and not necessarily propose a swap or ask about the item, esp. if there is more than one item from the same person's listings (it can seem a bit stalkery! hehe) but I think it will increase communication. Great work with the site :) x

I have a lovely pale grey cotton/ viscose and lycra top which I bought from Warehouse and love. Unfortunately it has what looks like maybe tar on the back which has not come after several washes. As a last resort, I'm thinking of bleaching or dying the top. Have you any suggestions? How do I go about bleaching without damaging it?

Hi Judy. Im stuck! i need a 1940/50 dita von teese -style dress cap sleeves and love heart front with a nipped in waist and flared knee lenght skirt, in black or red or even polka dot. I just wanted some advice.
I did a swap with someone about a week and a half ago and as always i sent my item straight away,a couple of days later she emailed me to say she got my package and loved the things and that she hadn't had chance to send but would on monday.By wednesday it hadn't arrived so i emailed her,no reply,emailed again on thursday,she replied saying she had posted it that day.It arrived this morning,a differant colour to the photo,dirty with a stain on,which luckily has just come out in the wash,i dont want to send back as will still do for what i wanted it for.But im abit worried about leaving feedback as she hasn't left mine yet and dont want to start tit for tat,any advice would be grateful.xxx

Is it possible to withdraw Swap proposals? i have several impending and it has been a few days since i offered the swaps and the users have not got back to me about them. I'd like to offer other people swaps but i can't because the items i'd like to offer in the swaps are already being offered and i don't want to offer them to someone else incase the person i had originally proposed the swap with suddenly gets back to me accepting the swap. Do you see what i mean?

I am new to the vintage fashion world and I am hooked! I was given an umbrella but I cant find any info about it. It is red with a metal (brass type handle) that is shaped like a hook.
